Last weekend had been kind of rough, yeah. And so had this past week, because it was like there'd been something in the air, making every person flying SkyKans a total pain in the ass. But, Kate had the day off today. And yes, she was totally intending to do useful crap at some point. Like... groceries. Or cleaning. Or... Something. She hadn't decided yet.

Because slouching on the couch with her laptop and dicking around on the internet and watching a million YouTube videos was the best use of her time right now. You couldn't go wrong with cats doing funny things, or people falling down a lot. Or, apparently, stop-motion animation with foul-mouthed Barbies.

Also:

Well, she'd just become a fan.

"Perhaps later," he said, still smiling. "What are you planning to do with me now? All this tugging and all."

"Stuff," Kate said, lightly. She stopped, then immediately moved to pull his shirt off. He needed to be shirtless. "Things."

"That's very vague," Bod said but lifted his arms to help her out with her task. "I guess I can't really clean without a shirt."

"Oh, I'm sure you could." She put her hands on his shoulders to turn him so his back was towards the bed. And also, because she liked his shoulders and always had. "I don't think your sensible ways could be completely undone by shirtlessness."

"And I'd probably save a shirt or two from stains from cleaning solution," he said, turning around. "But, then I might get it on me."

"Mmhmmmm."

She pressed her hands against his chest, then gave him a light push. He should lay down. And she was being pushy.

"And that's not what should get on you."

"What's gotten into you?" Bod asked, falling backwards onto the bed and leaning on his elbows. "Hmm?"

Kate smirked as she moved to climb over him. "Well, I was bored. And now I'm making myself unbored."

"And how are you going to make yourself unbored?" Bod wondered, chuckling quietly.

"Who says I'm not already doing it?" Kate retorted, settling her hands against the bed on either side of him. "I'm already doing it. Do I need to be more specific than that?"

"Well, I didn't know if you were just going to climb on me and that was that," Bod explained. "That's what I meant."

"It's not just that," she promised, ducking down to kiss him. "It's really not just that."

"Mmm. All right," Bod murmured into that kiss, sounding pleased. "This could be productive too."

"God I hope not," Kate mumbled, amused. Then she focused a bit more on the kiss itself. Couldn't really deepen the kiss and talk at the same time, and she had to get productivity off his mind somehow.

Bod chuckled again and would have given his head a shake if he hadn't been kissing her. He still thought this could be productive in a different kind of way but he didn't say that.

Because he was kissing her and all.

He wasn't kissing her for long, though. Oh no, she had other ideas. Ones that involved her lips slipping away from his so she could press a kiss to his chin, then his neck. Then his shoulder.

Her lips left his and he sighed but didn't say anything. He watched her press kisses against him and smiled as he did. It was nice to watch.

Kate pressed a few more kisses close to the first one, along his shoulder. Then she glanced up, with a little smile.

"I've loved your shoulders since the Bahamas, you know."

"You didn't even love me in the Bahamas," Bod pointed out with a grin. "My shoulders were that eye catching?"

"You gave me a hug in the Bahamas." First of many but it had stuck with her. She moved a bit, her lips brushing over his collarbone before moving down along the center of his chest. "And we talked about your shoulders being nice."

"Sometimes, your memory is astounding," Bod murmured quietly. "That's quite the photographic memory of that trip you have there."

"I was pretty wrecked on that trip." She murmured her words over his heart. "The parts with you in them are about all I remember." A beat. "Well, those and the green rum drinks."

"I'm sorry you had such a bad time of it back then," he said, picking a hand up and sliding his fingers through her hair. "I really am."

"Doesn't matter anymore, we all got through it." Well, Jack was a werewolf now but she wasn't about to start dwelling on that right now. Humming a little at his fingers in her hair, she trailed a few kisses a little further down. "Things have turned out okay."

"They have," he agreed with another soft sigh. "They really have. That's the past. This is the present. And this is very nice."
